Memoirs
Memorias was created in 1999, in homage to four centuries of written history since the Picunches, the original people of the lands where our vineyards grow today, received the Spanish conquerors, giving rise to a completely new culture.
The symbol for Memories is the "spiral of life," which represents the circle of life understood as the constant movement generated by experiences. This symbol is present in all ancient civilizations and represents evolution and continuous development.
Likewise, Memorias is a blend of perfect structure and balance, its complexity increasing with each year of bottle aging. Carefully crafted to preserve the intensity and freshness of its fruit, this Cabernet Sauvignon-based blend includes varying percentages of other French varieties: Petit Verdot to enhance acidity and freshness; Syrah for its spicy notes; Carmenere for intense color, red fruit, and rounded tannins; and Cabernet Franc for its intense flavors and aromas. The resulting wine is fresh, with delicate layers of soft tannins—a blend that faithfully expresses the unique terroir of Alto Maipo.

Calicanto
Since Calicanto's first vintage in 2007, this blend of red grape varieties from Andetelmo Estate has been distinguished by its fresh and fruity character, with spicy notes and silky, polished tannins. Calicanto was named after the first bridge built over the Mapocho River between 1767 and 1782 in the city of Santiago. Over time, various shops and businesses lined its sides, becoming one of the first centers of trade for Chilean wine.
Like this first bridge, Calicanto symbolizes the union between tradition and modernity, and our commitment to producing the highest quality wines that express the soul of the Chilean terroir through the French grape varieties planted in our vineyards.

Kiñe
Kiñe embodies the visionary and innovative spirit of Viña El Principal. Launched in 2014, it is the first New World wine created from the Verdejo white grape variety, originally from the Rueda region of Spain.
Its name comes from the word used to denote the number one in Mapudungun, the native language of the Mapuche indigenous people. Kiñe means "first" or "only," characteristics that perfectly express the exceptional nature of this wine created from a pioneering grape variety in Chile.
